What’s the Score? Impacts of Credit on Accessing Affordable Housing

October 18, 2011 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

$15 – $40

The Affordable Housing Professionals of New Jersey (AHPNJ) would like to invite you to our Southern Regional Networking Event entitled “What’s the Score? Impacts of Credit on Accessing Affordable Housing.” This panel discussion will examine the post-recession lending and housing markets, and their relation to the importance of one’s credit score.

According to a recent Zillow report, which highlights the difficulties in the housing market in the wake of the Great Recession, homeownership is potentially out of reach for nearly a third of Americans. This is especially true for those seeking affordable housing. While lenders have implemented tighter credit restrictions as a response to the foreclosure crisis, it has placed a cap on housing demand and is impeding a greater housing recovery. AHPNJ has invited credit counselors, mortgage brokers, and administrative agents to provide dynamic perspectives on the importance of one’s credit score in obtaining access to affordable homeownership and rental opportunities within the State.

Please join us on Tuesday, October 18th at 9:30 AM at Ponzio’s Diner in Cherry Hill. A Buffet Breakfast will be served but seating is limited. Reserve your spot today!
