The program will open with a summary of highlights of the just-published book, Climbing Mount Laurel (Princeton University Press), a systematic evaluation of the impact of Ethel Lawrence Homes in Mount Laurel Township on its low and moderate residents, its neighbors and on the Township.

Then two panels will evaluate the September 26, 2013 New Jersey Supreme Court ruling on the Council of Affordable Housing’s round III methodology for calculating each town’s affordable housing obligation.

The forum will include an explanation of the key findings of the Supreme Court’s decision and insights from housing experts into what the third round fair share numbers might be and implications of the Court’s decision on municipalities, homebuilders and low and moderate income households.
