REGISTER NOW

LEED for Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) is the only rating system for sustainable neighborhoods and is the result of a unique collaboration of three highly respected organizations: Natural Resources Defence Council, Congress for the New Urbanism and USGBC. This half day program will walk through the prerequisites and credits of LEED-ND using two New Jersey LEED-ND Gold certified neighborhoods: Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District and Teacher’s Village, both located in Newark. Applications of LEED-ND to redevelopment will also be presented, using a suburban case study in Roselle and an urban case study in Hoboken. Participants will gain a practical understanding of LEED-ND and how to apply its principles in planning and design for future neighborhoods.
