The Hudson County Division of Planning is seeking a qualified part-time Seasonal Intern for 15-30 hours a week. The Seasonal Intern will support planning staff in areas of economic development, open space planning, and/or transportation planning. Additional responsibilities will be determined by interest and division needs. This position will report to the Division Chief.

The City of Newark, New Jersey is conducting a search for a highly motivated individual to serve as the Manager of the Division of Traffic & Signals (T&S) within the Department of Engineering. A proven transportation professional with established administrative experience will be selected to lead the office responsible for improving mobility in Newark, including transportation planning and street design and maintenance.
Under the Supervising Planner – Land Management’s direction, the Senior Planner will work in the Middlesex County Office of Planning and be responsible for reviewing subdivision and site plan applications, preparing developer agreements, issuing performance guarantees, providing administrative support to the Planning Board and its Development Review Committee, and related duties. Additionally, the Senior Planner may assist other groups within the Office of Planning, including Regional Planning and Local Assistance, Sustainability and Resiliency, Transportation Planning, and Spatial Data Services, and the Office of Engineering.
Provide day-to-day management of office services for the Office of Planning and the Department of Transportation. Under the direction of the Office Director and Department Head, plans, coordinates, and conducts a variety of office support services and supervises employees engaged in providing these services; provides direct administrative support to office leadership; manages confidential information; does other related duties as required.
