Plan4HealthNJ: Where You Live Shouldn’t Dictate How Long You Live
On Tuesday, November 18th, members of the Plan4HealthNJ Project Team—Angela Knowles, Tara Kenyon, and Candice Davenport—presented at the annual New Jersey League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City. Their session, “Plan4HealthNJ: Where You Live Shouldn’t Dictate How Long You Live,” offered an overview of the historic relationship between planning and public health, the role of land use in reducing health challenges and inequities, and the critical importance of stakeholder engagement. The team also provided a preliminary look at the toolkits and mapping resources that will be made publicly available to municipalities in 2026, along with information on upcoming funding opportunities.
