Description
The County is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and creative undergraduate or graduate student for a part-time internship. This position is funded through the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority and will primarily support transportation planning initiatives within the Division. The intern will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of planning professionals on a wide range of countywide and regional efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with transportation planning initiatives
- Prepare maps and graphics using GIS
- Support the development of reports, technical memoranda, and planning documents
- Assist with the preparation of materials for public meetings, stakeholder engagement, and visioning sessions
- Conduct research on best practices for transportation planning, complete streets, and multimodal design
- Coordinate with County staff across planning disciplines, including land development, environmental, and preservation planning
