APA-NJ and MAC URISA are co-sponsoring a 3-day workshop with some of the most innovative uses of GIS. MAC URISA is a volunteer organization made up of government and private individuals who provide quality educational programs to the planner and other who use GIS. This is the first time that APA-NJ has co-sponsored this annual workshop and are applying for CM credits for most of the sessions that will be held.
"Planning the Urban Forest" is a hands-on training workshop for professional planners on integrating best practices in urban forest protection and development into the planning process. It will introduce participants to concepts of the urban forest and how planners and allied professionals can quantify its benefits in social, environmental, economic, and other terms.
