Webinar: Coastal Development and Regulatory Realities (CM | 1.5)

This presentation will give planners a comprehensive overview of the regulatory framework governing coastal development, and an understanding of the natural resource and property rights concepts and concerns unique to waterfront property. The program will cover the latest topics in coastal permitting and considerations for development activities in the coastal zone, including: Waterfront Homes, Commercial Development and Redevelopment; Climate Change; Littoral Rights; Docks and Seawalls; and, Tidal Wetlands. Presenters will discuss the jurisdicition and regulatory objectives of the National Flood Insurance Program, Army Corps of Engineers, CT DEP and municipalities. Techniques to protect viewsheds, and to preserve natural resources, will also be presented.
