Stormwater Management for Engineers (CM I TBD)

October 5, 2011 - October 7, 2011

Managing stormwater runoff from land development is becoming more complex every day. In light of New Jersey’s recently adopted statewide Stormwater Management Rules, engineers, reviewers, developers and others will need to acquire both greater knowledge and new skills. This three-day course is designed to address these needs by presenting the most pertinent and up-to-date information on the scientific and regulatory aspects of stormwater management in New Jersey.

The course will cover the recently adopted NJDEP Stormwater Management Rules, including those dealing with groundwater recharge, TSS and nutrient removal, and stormwater quantity control. A presentation of the new NJDEP BMP Manual, Groundwater Recharge Spreadsheet (NJGRS) and other technical aspects of the new rules will also be included. The course will conclude with a workshop problem that applies the information and techniques presented to a sample development site in accordance with the new NJDEP Rules.
