NJ Association for Floodplain Management (NJAFM) Annual Conference

October 2, 2012 - October 3, 2012

Every fall the New Jersey Association for Floodplain Management (NJAFM) conducts an annual conference that attracts over 200 people for a 2-day conference that showcases the state-of-the-art in techniques, programs, resources, materials and equipment, and services to accomplish flood mitigation and other community goals. The 2012 NJAFM Conference will be held October 2-3 at the Palace in Somerset, NJ.

This is the 4th year that NJAFM has offered CM credits to planners. We have submitted for a total of 7.5 AICP credits for this year’s 2-day conference. Course titles include Local Actions to Mitigate Flood Hazards, Flood Mitigation through Stormwater Management, From Risk to Resiliency: A New Model for Engaging Communities, Sea level Rise and Flood Map Viewer, NJ Coastal Flood Hazard Study, How RiskMAP Can Help Local Officials Effectively Manage their Flood Risk, and Preliminary Screening for Grant Eligible Acquisition and Elevation Projects.
