The Somerset County Bar Association (“SCBA”) is presenting its 4th Annual Land Use Symposium and Basic Course in Land Use Law and Planning on April 26, 2025 at Raritan Valley Community College. The Land Use Symposium part of the event discusses higher level land use concepts-this year that part of the event will discuss affordable housing and also contain a “what would you do?” hypothetical seminar that will include an interactive discussion between attendees and a panel of land use experts. Apart from planners, this event will also be attended by experienced land use board members, governing body members and attorneys. The Basic Course part of the event is a DCA certified program which goes over basic concepts related to land use law and planning. Generally, newly appointed board members attend this event, but any new planner (or any planner that wants to have a refresher) is also welcome to attend.
With respect to planner continuing education credits, this event has been registered for 4 CMs and 2 Legal CM credits.
