The NJAFM Annual Conference is a statewide conference related to floodplain management and planning. The conference draws a multi-disciplinary audience including planners, engineers, scientists and local officials. The program agenda will include: post-storm activities related to Sandy, risk awareness, flood insurance reform, the basics on floodplains,hazard mitigation plans, construction, permitting, mitigation and other topics including natural and beneficial use of the floodplain, impacts of development on flooding, case studies, floodplain regulations and innovative zoning of floodplain lands.
