Union County’s Dept. of Engineering, Public Works, & Facilities Management is seeking to fill a Principal Planner position for Union County, NJ.
This position is under direction of the County Engineer Office. A successful candidate will participate in the development of plans, studies, projects, analysis, and review of land developments, and other related activities/duties associated to County Planning.
- The candidate must have seven or more years of professional experience in municipal, regional, or state planning and be proficient in principles associated to land use planning, city planning, project design, working understanding of environmental planning, and regulations/law related to planning.
- The candidate must have experience in GIS, MS Office, and related design software. Must possess a degree in planning from an accredited university. A master’s degree in planning may account for two years of professional experience and preferred possession of a current and valid NJ License as a Professional Planner and be a certified planner issued by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Salary is dependent on education and experience.
