DESCRIPTION:RSVP to Tom Schulze at TomSchulze@aol.com\n\nThe Urban Essex Coalition for Smart Growth was formed in 2013 at the conclusion of the Inner M&E Strategic Corridor Plan for Newark\, East Orange and Orange. Three cities\, non-profits\, businesses and institutions\, working together to shape development around five commuter rail stations in urban Essex County\, New Jersey. \nThe vision is a model Smart Growth corridor with mixed-use development\, housing choices\, vital commercial districts and vibrant public spaces. \nJoin APA-NJ for a bus/walking tour of various locations throughout the three cities\, learn more about the coalition – their recommendations and accomplishments\, and discuss whether or not this initiative can be replicated in other places.
