SUMMARY:Current Issues in On-Premise Sign Regulation and Sign Illumination (CM | 2)
DESCRIPTION:At 1:15 we start with Legal Issues in On-Premise Sign Regulation – 1.5 hour Legal CM course. \nThe class will cover both case law & statutes that affect the regulation of on-premise signs and will explore the constitutional issues related to speech and the First Amendment\, takings under the Fifth Amendment\, due process and equal protection.  \nThe 2nd class will cover the regulation of Sign Illumination and will provide a practical guide to on-premise sign illumination and a review of existing university level research on sign illumination and traffic safety. Preliminary results of new digital sign (EMC) lighting level research will be presented.
