SUMMARY:11th Annual George Stafford Golf Classic
DESCRIPTION:The NJ Highlands Coalition run by Executive Director\, Julia Somers is an environmental advocacy nonprofit dedicated to protecting the natural\, cultural and water resources of the Highlands region. They safeguard the drinking water that over 70% of NJ residents rely on. When you support this event\, you are supporting their mission.The event will be held at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington\, NJ. Spend a beautiful day on the green in support of the Highlands. This annual outing offers a perfect blend of camaraderie\, networking\, and 18 holes of golf. Your registration includes a light breakfast\, empanadas\, and lunch. \nDuring lunch\, the Highlands Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Walter Lane. Walter became the Assistant Director of the Office of Planning Advocacy in 2024\, supporting Director Donna Rendeiro\, after serving for many years as the Planning Director of Somerset County. Upon Donna’s retirement\, Walter became the Acting Director and is now the Director of OPA. Under his guidance\, the first new State Development and Redevelopment Plan for the State of New Jersey since 2001 was written\, reviewed\, and adopted. This is a remarkable achievement for which he is being honored. \nYou can join the event to golf or attend lunch only.
