SUMMARY:Webinar: "Finding Common Ground: The Digital Treatment of Electronic Signs" (CM Pending | 1.0)
DESCRIPTION:Digital electronic signs have demonstrated a strong ability to increase results for commercial and community-oriented purposes. However\, many communities are relatively unfamiliar with this rapidly-developing technology\, and are concerned that these kinds of signs will create aesthetic\, safety and enforcement problems for their cities and fellow citizens. \nNearly all stakeholders struggling with digital electronic signs and their regulation often have the same questions: \n\nWhat really are these digital electronic signs and how do they work?\nIs there any way for the community-at-large to actually benefit from these kinds of signs?\nHow do we allow them without “looking like Las Vegas\,” or negatively impacting community safety?\nHow do we regulate them in ways that are understandable and enforceable\, without having to hire additional staff?\n\nHosted by James Carpentier\, AICP and presented by Wendy Moeller\, AICP\, and Mike Freeborg\, Director of Government Relations for YESCO\, the webinar “Finding Common Ground” answers these questions and others\, while providing practical\, solution-focused guidance that can set the foundation for regulations that can leverage this technology while protecting community aesthetic values and safety concerns. \nThis webinar is being offered on Thursday\, March 15 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. EST. One (1) AICP Certification Maintenance credit is Pending Approval. Please contact james.carpentier@signs.org to register for this complimentary educational event.
