Job Vacancy: Supervising Planner
Full Time Position 40 hours per week
Contractual Salary Range $51,979.03 to $57,176.93 per year
An excellent opportunity for qualified candidate to work with a group of employees who are engaged in the development of a master, functional or project plans which are intended to guide government policy for assurance of orderly and coordinated development of municipal, county, regional and metropolitan land areas or portions thereof. Prepares and supervises planning reports including geographic, graphic, statistical and written preparation. Coordinates and administers planning programs in accordance with agency rules and regulations. Coordinates and administers project reviews in accord with federal, state and regional guidelines; supervises staff and work activities; prepares and delivers performance objectives and evaluations to subordinate staff; performs other related duties as required. Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree including 21 semester hour credits in professional planning and three (4) years of responsible professional experience in municipal, county, regional or state planning, one year of which shall have included supervisory responsibility. *A Master’s degree in Planning may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
Please note a license as a Professional Planner issued by the New Jersey State Board of Planners is required.
