The Somerset County Office of Planning, Policy and Economic Development, one of the leading and progressive planning organizations in the state, is seeking a talented, energetic and creative City and Regional Planning graduate or undergraduate student for a part-time intern position. The intern will assist a diversified staff of professional planners who are involved in a wide range of transportation and smart growth planning initiatives. The successful candidates will be working closely with County Staff, the public and citizens groups on a number of innovative transportation, land use and regional planning projects.
The successful candidate must have excellent analytical, computer, GIS, written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates with a strong knowledge of transportation planning, land use planning and GIS planning applications are highly encouraged to apply.
Data analysis skills are also highly desirable.
Applicants should be an undergraduate or graduate students in planning or a closely related field with a strong interest in the areas of transportation, regional planning, and land use planning.
Required to be New Jersey residents or enrolled in a school in New Jersey.
