Triad Associates, a full-service community and economic development consulting firm headquartered in Vineland, New Jersey is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join its team.
The firm is seeking a generalist with a minimum of 5 years experience in one of the following fields: Community Development, Economic Development, City and Regional Planning, Downtown/Main Street Revitalization, Housing, or related field.
As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for managing community development programs, including CDBG grant administration, strategic planning initiatives, responses to Requests for Proposals and Qualifications, preparing narratives, researching and assembling data, drafting documents, interacting with clients, and facilitating public and client meetings.
You must be open to tackling a wide range of projects and be able to demonstrate that based on your education, job experience and skill sets you can work independently with diverse clients, programs and projects. Triad is seeking someone who will bring enthusiasm and a high standard of ethics and creativity to the job and who works well in a very dynamic professional environment. Additional responsibilities may include researching federal and state economic development programs, as well as assisting with the completion of comprehensive grant proposals and project applications. You will also assist with marketing and business development functions.
The successful candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and have a thorough knowledge of community and economic development, and the workings of the government at the local, state, and federal levels. A Masters Degree may in some cases substitute for the prescribed number of years of experience. American Planning Association (APA) membership and American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) accreditation is desirable but not mandatory. Experience with GIS, mapping, and computer graphics is also a plus. You must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and have the desire to expand your knowledge base in order to assist senior project staff.
