Regional Planning Manager (Burlington County)

The Burlington County Bridge Commission seeks a qualified individual with a high level of regional planning experience and required New Jersey professional planning and ACIP certification to join a busy Economic Development and Regional Planning office. The Regional Planning Manager will provide high quality professional planning services to Burlington County and its municipalities. This will include but not be limited to:

  • prepare municipal master plan elements, growth and preservation plans, regional planning initiatives, redevelopment studies and plans, ordinance amendments and special studies
  • provide technical support to citizens, businesses, municipal and county government agencies on a number of smart growth planning and sustainability issues
  • provide professional support of a regional strategic revitalization plan, including preparation of a ten-year reexamination report and plan update
  • supervise staff as needed
  • administer planning programs, perform on-site visits
  • attend, participate in and make presentations at public meetings


  • licensed to practice professional planning in the State of NJ
  • national certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (ACIP)
  • at least 10 years professional planning experience in physical and land use planning
  • managerial/supervisory skills and experience
  • proven planning program administration experience
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • quick learner, ability to assume existing workload and continue planning work
