Associate Planner (L&G Planning)

L&G Planning, based in Bordentown City, NJ, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate is a graduate with a degree in Planning or Public Policy, although preference will be given to candidates who are recently licensed or nearing licensure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of master plans, zoning ordinances, and redevelopment studies.
  • Conduct data collection, research, and analysis to support planning projects.
  • Prepare GIS mapping, written reports, presentations, and graphics for client meetings and public hearings.
  • Engage with municipal officials, stakeholders, and the public during project development and outreach efforts.
  • Stay current on planning trends, regulations, and best practices relevant to New Jersey.
  • Collaborate with senior planners and contribute to a range of urban and regional planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Policy, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Recent graduates are welcome to apply, but preference will be given to candidates who are recently licensed or close to achieving licensure as a Professional Planner (PP) in New Jersey.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in GIS, graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Suite), and Microsoft Office Suite. CAD is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for urban planning and commitment to serving New Jersey communities.
