Michael J. Manzella, PP, AICP, is currently the Transportation Manager for the City of Asbury Park.  In this role, he manages the City’s Parking  Utility, including the management of the public parking operations and development of parking policy.  In addition, Mr. Manzella develops and  directs comprehensive transportation planning and associated planning reports, studies and  memorandums. He oversees the implementation of transportation services in the City including the Jersey Shore’s first bike share system, an electric vehicle car share program and public transit services.  

Mr. Manzella received an MCRP in City and Regional Planning with a concentration in Transportation Policy and Planning from the Bloustein School at Rutgers University in 2014 and a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2009.  Current projects include the development of a Bicycle/Pedestrian Master Plan for the City, integrating Complete Streets infrastructure in the City’s Road Program, and managing a Transportation Alternatives Program grant for streetscape amenities on Main Street. He is a resident of Asbury Park and serves on the City’s Planning Board, as well as chair of the Parking and Mayor’s Wellness Committees, and a Boundary Spanning Leadership Team member of the Alliance for a Healthier Asbury Park.
