The Legislative Committee meets to review legislative matters that have a direct affect on the planning community in New Jersey. Relevant bills are reviewed, position statements are delivered and testimony is provided at public hearings. The major planning topics that frame the Legislative Committee’s focus fall under transportation, housing, sustainability, urban design, redevelopment and state and regional planning. The Legislative Committee’s major goal for the 2018 year is reform to Municipal Land Use Laws.
