At the 2010 NJ Planning Awards Dinner, former APA-NJ President Brent Barnes announced that, as an opportunity to give back to his profession, he wanted to spearhead a charitable planning foundation within APA-NJ. During the conference, Brent offered to personally match any donations received. Over the past several months, APA-NJ has begun the process of building this foundation through the collection of donations. Monies received will go towards supporting our philanthropic initiatives such as our new Community Planning Assistance Program as well future scholarships to university students in financial need.
