Research Project Coordinator (VTC)

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking research support to supplement the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center’s permanent full-time research team in order to meet the dynamic staffing needs of existing externally-funded research projects. The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct research, manage data sets and assist with the analysis of data.
  • Prepare project-related reports, memoranda and other written materials and occasionally make presentations of this material.
  • Support project managers/principal investigators with routine management activities on designated projects, including oversight of student research assistants and project consultants.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of focus groups, workshops, committee meetings and conferences, and provide documentation of these activities.

Topic areas may include: Environmental Justice; complete streets/bicycle and pedestrian mobility and safety; transit and land use planning; and others

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
