Experience in GIS is preferred. Knowledge about wetlands delineation and environmental permitting is a big plus.

Education: Must have a Bachelors degree in planning, urban design or related field and a minimum of five years of related experience.

The following job skills and experience are preferred:

  • Familiarity with statewide transportation issues, and preferably with Monmouth County’s transportation network, geography, and the issues impacting the transportation infrastructure
  • Experience in running official meetings, participating in public outreach efforts, and delivering presentations
  • Fluency with GIS
  • Knowledge about applying for grants and grant reporting
  • Ability to attend a minimum of one night meeting per month
