Mark is currently employed by Franklin Township in Somerset County as the Director of the Planning and Zoning Department.
Mark has extensive experience in a variety of planning, zoning and land development matters and has consulted numerous public and private clients in New York and New Jersey. He has experience in all aspects of the comprehensive planning process including master plan preparation, facilitation of committee meetings and visioning sessions, and presentation at public hearings and community workshops. He has extensive experience in the preparation of practical and effective land development regulations covering a wide range of issues and has been involved in the review of more than a thousand land development applications ranging from simple variance requests to extremely large-scale, complicated, and controversial development proposals.
Mark began his professional career at Frederick P. Clark Associates, Inc. in Rye, NY. Prior to his employment with Franklin Township, he served as Senior Planner with Heyer, Gruel & Associates.
Mark has a B.S. in Environmental Planning & Design and a Certificate in GIS (with Honors) from Cook College, Rutgers University and a Master of Regional Planning with a concentration in Land Use Planning and Growth Management from UNC-Chapel Hill.
