Linda is a Principal Planner with the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (NJMC), where she has been employed for the past 10 years. As a project manager, she emphasizes sustainability principles in her work, which has included the NJMC’s award-winning Master Plan, two EPA Brownfields Assessment Grants, and affordable housing. Currently, she is coordinating the preparation of a new Master Plan for the Hackensack Meadowlands District.
Prior to joining the NJMC, Linda held several planning and management positions with the State of Wisconsin and municipalities in New Jersey. She currently serves on the Pequannock Green Team, which supports the Township’s progress towards certification under the Sustainable Jersey program.
Linda serves as APA-NJ’s Community Service Coordinator, whose primary focus involves devising opportunities for Chapter members to engage in volunteerism and philanthropy. She introduced philanthropy to APA-NJ at the 2010 New Jersey Planning Conference by collecting clothing for Dress for Success, an organization dedicated to providing interview attire for unemployed women and men. Through the ongoing “Plan for the Can” initiative, Linda encourages APA-NJ’s membership to bring donations of non-perishable items to Chapter events to benefit a food bank or food pantry. She also coordinates a new Chapter initiative to promote the planning profession and participates on the Professional Development Committee. Linda previously served as the Northeast Area Representative.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration, both conferred by the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
