Justin is an Associate with Cofone Consulting Group, where he provides diverse planning services to both public and private clients and also serves as the Director of Technology.
As a lifelong surfer and coastal conservation advocate, Justin’s passion is the preservation of marine ecosystems through innovative planning and common sense approaches as well as community engagement. He has worked both personally and professionally toward that goal at the Jersey Shore and in western Puerto Rico, where he has a home and volunteers with various coastal conservation groups, including Fundacion Surfrider Rincón.
Justin has extensive experience in master planning, redevelopment, zoning analysis, urban design, affordable housing, farmland preservation, impact analysis, and expert testimony delivery.
In addition, Justin is a new media consultant, political campaign strategist, and freelancer writer. He assists individuals and small businesses with copy production, message delivery, and social media platforms. His writing has been featured in newspapers, trade publications, and blogs, and he has been quoted as a planning expert in newspapers. He has also taught Expository Writing at Rutgers College and tutored members of the Rutgers University football team.
Justin has a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University with a concentration in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
